@damrak1969 Path of least resistance. If you lose your neutral, It will go back to your ground rod / water pipe / steel/ etc. But you will be having major issues and should notice a problem right away.
the current is alternating between phases in your panelbox. not between neutral and hot. if you unscrew you panel box you will see 3 main wires feeding your main breaker. 1 is neutral and the other two are phase a and b. thats where the alternating is happening.
I can’t find an answer to this. The neutral (groundED) wire is bonded to the groundING wire at the enclosure box. Current is constantly alternating direction in AC power. To an electrical load, the power seems to be coming from the “hot” wire, then from the “neutral” wire and back to “hot” again - correct? If the neutral wire is carrying current - why isn’t current constantly passing from the neutral to the ground wire and into the earth? I’ve looked all over and can’t find an answer to this.
Saftey isn’t the Union’s responsibility, it’s the workers responsibility. I’ve done work for union shops and non-union and is all the same. Last time I checked OSHA were the ones who enforce saftey regulations. The Union likes to brag that they are safer because they sign a piece of paper that’s says that they’ll comply and provide hartd hats/saftey glasses. They also boast a drug free workforce. And the Union is drug free my ass.
Any half wit drunk or stoner can pass a drug test. Worked with tons of union drunks and potheads. Wages and beni’s are good but only when there is work. And as far as choice of jobs through the union, to say that you have any at all is a joke.
