Former electrician grabs ‘Russia’s Richest’ crown

There’s a new man at the top of the pile of Russia’s super-rich and it’s someone who started out as an electrician. Vladimir Lisin is the man with the money, showing enough business spark to amass a fortune of 19 billion dollars. The steel tycoon was declared Russia’s richest by Finans magazine. The previous year’s leader Mikhail Prokhorov was second, while Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovic was rated third. Despite the economic crisis, the top ten earners boosted their wealth by 63 billion dollars – to reach a staggering 140 billion dollars.

I from Russia. I live in Lipetsk. In this city factory of Lisin. It is not necessary to speak badly about Russian. Not important rich or poor. Personal qualities are important. Lisin spends money for a development of the city.

Well the only other option would be to make an announcement :D

I should imagine thats why Russia is playing hosty to them now with a big Grin on its face, only outshone by the rest of the worlds gaping smile thinking that there might be some small chance at last that we can have the life of peace and freedom we so desire :)

Then there is the possibility that the US had no choice but to unload some on the Chinese, because it was their only option.

Although that all said it could just be a misunderstanding :)

Now lets explore the possibilities that Ethiopia ended up with some as a result of some “bribe” from Israel in connection with the amount of Ethiopian Jews, which is substantial, wanting to emigrate to their holy land and Israel did not want them. Apparently those applying, on a weekly basis in some cases, are being held up in mountains of paperwork and red tape. Which has kept families separated as a result, as some left to set up house in advance leaving their children and wives behind.

    What the Chinese uncovered:
Roughly 15 years ago — during the Clinton Administration [think Robert Rubin, Sir Alan Greenspan and Lawrence Summers] — between 1.3 and 1.5 million 400 oz tungsten blanks were allegedly manufactured by a very high-end, sophisticated refiner in the USA [more than 16 Thousand metric tonnes]. Subsequently, 640,000 of these tungsten blanks received their gold plating and WERE shipped to Ft. Knox and remain there to this day.

You mean this? This October, bankers in Hong Kong were in for a rude shock when they discovered some gold bars from the US to be actually gold plated tungsten i.e., fake gold bars.

Then there is the Ethiopia -> South African story of the same.

    cont…

These man, are going to invest in Russia and make the Americans look purple from envy. My first green car will be a Lada-electric zoom super fast and cheaper than a conventional car. Im sure all of Europe will love it.

What do you do with all that money?

  19. johnu78

Last time I saw so much cash running through a Bill Counter machine is when I saw Tony Montana counting his money in Scarface.

  23. TheMmmast

right, what was that about the gold bars at the world banks being coated tungsten? I caught a brief glimpse of that and foreign countries having trillions levied against the us treasury because of this. anyone? Did I hear this right?

  24. Kinkspace

Maybe share a dunk of a tea bag? :)

  25. Kinkspace

I bet he doesn’t have his money in dollars ;)

The dollar is already useless, its only a credit note. And they do not have the gold to back it up. One more delusion that will not remain for much longer.

We live in interesting times as the Chinese say :)
