do electricians do design work?
i am going to be an electrical apprentice this year, do you have any tips for me?
Ok first of all Industrial electricians do not make more than Journeyman. A Journeyman is qualified to do ALL phases of electrical work: Residential, Commercial and Industrial. In Colorado the average wage is around $25-$30 an hour for Journeyman–in California its around $30-$38 an hour. I went through a 5 year apprenticeship, got my Journeyman’s license and do mostly commercial and industrial. I also work extensively with instrumentation and controls.
I’ve been to college and got on the Electrical Course and Plumbing gota choose between em now..
Judgin by the comments this trade is good, But this course says u do one year full time (level 2 certificate) Then Level 3 part time wid apprenticeship one year then ur an qualified electrian ?!?! Wat am i missing here

ive been working as an industrial electrician now for about 4 months, im so happy i got into this field, i actually can forsee my future for once having a career, i can vouch it is a great field to get into for anyone, and eventually you can make a great living doing it
Well im an apprentice Electrician in my second year and doing mostly industrial and a small bit of construction. I think 4 years is only enough to get the basics right, you have your whole life to learn the trade theres so much many sectors to go into.
yeah right..
u cant!!
I can live without electricity.
been working with them for two years, and all british sparks think that they are über electricians.. and from what i´ve seen, they are good, but not THAT good..
are you a contruction & maintenance or industrial electrician?
tell me about it
more prestigious???
Do you have any idea what you’re getting into?
i’m in my first year as an electrician doing residential and commercial but i’m in my second year of trade school, not to be a journeyman but an industrial controls electrical engineer. workin with journeyman electricians is bullshit even if the money is o.k. but indutrial is more money and its more training. the video is talkin more about electricians in industrial work like gas and oil fields. it’s more prestigious than just wiring houses even though thats good work also.
BRITISH electricians are best
Been an electrician is very rewarding.you don’t make as much as a doctor, but you have enough to live a good life, yes is a very dangerous trade but with electricity you don’t have to be scared of if,just respect it.and you’ll be alright. I have ten years experience and I still consider myself a student of the trade, because you never stop learning, there is always something new to learn specially with the new technology and updating codes very often so…it’s been good to me shout out to all ibews.

I’m a first year electrician, so far it’s alright. Nothing actually fun about the job, it does get interesting but it’s the people you work with and the radio that make it fun!

Electrical work is a highly rewarding career path. It can allow a peson to go almost anywhere they want, automation, construction, communication, manufacturing. But you will only get out of it, what you are prepared to put into it.
Im in school to become an electrcian
it’s an awesome job, I recommend it highly.
I am an electrician in Vancouver, Canada. It’s a great career. I’m just in my first year as an apprentice and I love it.
I am an electrician from the UK.Cannot recommend it highly enough.First few years can be tough, but I have worked on some great jobs,Wembley Stadium,Victoria Station,Imperial College,GCHQ,Millenium Stadium and also worked in Holland for a while.Definetly prefer industrial work over house-bashing but its horses for courses.Pay can be good.£700 a week on average but have earned £3000 a week.If you wanted to work weekends and all the hours you could earn more.Love the varied demands of the job.
